Fun and Easy Board Games

Othello is the classic board game of strategy. You have to think a few steps ahead for your upcoming moves and there is zero luck involved! Use the board and your own colored piece, to ‘capture’ your fiance’s pieces. Watch out, they can capture them back on their next turn. 

Scrabble is the ultimate classic word game that belongs in any house. Test your spelling and vocabulary skills and try to get as many points as possible.  Watch out for your fiance trying to block your next move!

Ticket to Ride has really gained momentum over the last few years. In this game, you go on a cross country train adventure where players collect and play matching train cards to win railway routes in order to connect cities throughout North America. The longer the routes, the more points you win.  

Blokus looks like a simple game, but it will keep your visual and spacial skills sharp! Place as many of your 21 different shaped tiles onto the board.  Sounds easy, but the catch is that your shapes can only touch each other by their corners.  

You can’t go wrong with Monopoly. Your home isn’t complete without it. Buy, sell,  and trade to build the ultimate property lineup. Build houses and hotels on your properties and bankrupt your opponents to win it all!

2 Player Card Games

Make sure you have a good ol’ fashioned deck of cards in the house. The opportunites are endless. Play a simple game of WAR or 52 card pickup, or challenge your fiance to battle of Gin Rummy or Black Jack. How about some strip poker to spice things up!

A Phase 10 card game is perfect for a more low key at home date night. Focus on completing the “phase” and be the first to 10 by combining your 10 cards.

Skipbo is the ultimate sequencing card game. It takes little skill but is entertaining enough you could play it every night and have a different result.  What’s great about this game is it takes very little skill, so if you want to just have a super chill game night – this game is perfect!  Be the first player to play every card in your pile, by playing all of your cards in numerical order. 

Go head to head in a fast paced game of Blink. Race to get rid of the cards dealt to you by matching up the color and number of objects on each card. This is a super fun game that is challenging for anyone.  

Love Monopoly but don’t want to deal with all the pieces? Monopoly Deal is the perfect alternative. It’s a fun variation of the original game with some different features and you can play it a lot quicker!

Rummikub is a fun, easy way to compete. Use numbered tiles to make sets and matches. Win by placing all of your tiles before your opponent. 

Battleship requires little skill and is competitive in a fun way! Go head to head with your fiance in an effort to sink all his battleships with the 2 portable game cases.

Boggle is a dice game with letters! See how many words you can find in the letter tiles after a set amount of time. Think outside the box, because if you both have the same word on your list, nobody gets the points!

Yahtzee is a another game that you must have in the game closet. Use the 5 dice to roll different combinations and beat your fiance to finishing first!
